Well, given the fact you're ignoring Obama's entire "party of ideas" statement just like Clinton did prior to South Carolina, so you can make a political point that would fall flat if you allowed people to read the entire quote, I'm already disinclined to listen to any message you might have to say.

Then you post a quip from the McCain campaign, when even the blog you lifted it from notes they didn't care about Hillary Clinton in any shape, rather than trying to get a dig in at Obama.

After all that's done, any point you might have had originally is gone way, way out the window. Sorry, sir, but I'm afraid this is well warranted:

Obama's insults are subtle.

First, he claims to take the high road, but he always manages to take a jab at others who he perceives as not taking the high road along with him.

"I would never say anything negative about a candidate, unlike that Hillary Clinton and her buddy John McCain who are so negative all the time!"

Obama prefaced a recent comment he made, saying that McCain "lost his bearings," with a dialogue about positive campaigning.  He then went on to insult John McCain on account of his age.

I think McCain's age and Obama's race will be the prime foci of the general election, however subtly or directly they are stated.  

I can't wait for the primary to be over so we can finally get rid of the republicans from this site.

In yesterday's diary by canadian gal, I mentioned one of my sticking points is the way that vicious attacks on Hillary Clinton were so obviously allowed by the party establishment.

This is a prime example. They haven't changed at all.

I'll be voting for Obama here in Oregon, unless Clinton starts campaigning on the idea of better health coverage, and not on the idea that she appeals to white voters more than Obama does, so I guess I count as an Obama supporter.

Pretty sad when McCain's campaign objects to the sexist bullshit before Obama's does.

in his administraton for a long time.  I say let him have them and see how that wins over democrats.  His Reagan statement was telling; his critque of the Clinton administration more telling.

So if he thinks they are so great, then he should choose hagel, lieberman (r-senate), colin powell.. there are plenty out there to choose from.

Do we really have to pretend that what Obama said was supportive of Republican ideas?  He was simply saying that they drove the national dialog under Reagan.  I know some like to be purposefully obtuse, such that they can misinterpret the comments to suit their own biases, but why are we doing so about things said (and discussed ad nauseum) months ago?

Anyway, the Fatal Attraction comment was stupid.  I haven't seen that movie, but that scene is pretty famous, and I have a rough idea of what it's about.  Shame that some can't keep their mouths shut when silly comparisons like these come into their minds.

He is the only white congressman in a majority black district and that only happened because two other black candidates split the vote in the general election.  There are already black primary opponents lined up against him who have been endorsed by members of the black caucus.  He's doing anything he can to save his neck.
