Hillary is RFK! [Update]

Yesterday I watched in amusement at the way the OFB twisted Hillary's answer to a question asking why there has been such a push to get her to drop out of the race. In the answer she compared her campaign to that of RFK's and Bill's and how they had both been campaigning in June. Somehow the OFB and the media ginned up the comment to mean that either Hillary was staying in the race in case something happened to Barack or that she secretly wanted someone to take him out.

It was totally disgusting that it was twisted that way but came as no surprise. I was surprised though that the Obama campaign for once didn't jump on something and twist it and blow it out of proportion. With the exception of the Bill Burton canned response the campaign handled it better than its supporters. I have to give them credit here. I should also give credit to the Obama supporters who had their heads on straight and tried to keep the OFB from going over the edge.

Republicans ARE the party of ideas.[Update]

I want to write this diary to express my deepest apologies to Barack Obama. When he was pandering to Republicans and Independents by praising Reagan and the Republican Party as being the party of ideas I was really upset.

IMO the ideas that Republicans have had were and are distaster for the country. But today I've learned that I was wrong and Barack Obama was right.

Barack can't turn the page on the Ken Starr Report.

Sen. Obama promised a new kind of politics. One that would be free of the politics of the past that didn't focus on personal destruction. He's spoken a lot on turning the page on the 90s but like many Republicans he has had some trouble.

302,874 people on YouTube have been treated to the sight of Michelle Obama telling people on the South Side of Chicago that Hillary Clinton can't run the White house because she can't run her house.

Michelle's cheap shot at Hillary Clinton

That's 302,874 people who have been exposed to the "new politics" that sounds just like the old politics. 302,874 people who saw Michelle claiming to be a role model in one breath and resorting to the tackiest attack imaginable on another woman, in the next breath.
